Many folks in San Francisco wonder what is affordable housing and why isn’t there more? What if we asked the question this way – where is affordable housing? Does it have an actual address, or is it a place where we project all of our utopian hopes and dreams? Do all the expectations tacked on to affordable housing – such as providing living wages, maintaining low construction costs, offering long-term extensive social services, meeting green construction standards, showcasing architectural marvels, and other goals – make the dream more real, or just harder to reach?

Join a discussion on how affordable housing dreams become a reality with Katie Lamont at the next SF Urban Film Fest campfire for Patreon members on Friday, July 14 at noon. Katie is the Director of Housing Development at the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) and has been developing affordable housing in California for almost 20 years.

Look out for your Google hang – out invite!
